English wall cartel clock of mid 18 th.century, gold colour painted wooden case whoose texture looking like carved ornaments is made from stucco. Top finial in form of a paring for flowers. 8 day fusee movement with verge escapement and short pendulum, dial apertures for mock pendulum and date indication. Steel suspension pendulum with fine adjustement from the front of the dial by means of an auxiliary dial above numeral XII. Silvered brass dial with Roman hour and arabic minute numerals, dial signed: Wm Webster London, Look at: Baillie, Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World,  1929, reprinted 1966, page 337.

„, son of Wm. London ( Change Alley). A.1727, CC.1734, m.C.C. 1755, l.C.C. 1766-1776. An eminent maker. Br.clocks ill. Cec & Web.g. c.secs. watch Ilbert coll.“ William Webster father as well as son were eminemt makers of clocks.

Measurements of the case -  height x width x depth: approx: 68 cm x 44,5 cm x 13  cm –  diameter of dial: 18,5 cm, length of pendulum: 20 cm , weight of clock: approx 10 KG.

This clock was made approx. 1740/1750.

During restoration of this clock fixation of movement and grid of  bottom part of case have been partially replaced. Two top finials are missing. All other parts of this clock originally fit together. Key is replaced.
