Extremely rare Black Forest cuckoo table clock made fort he British market with unusual movement. While the going train is working with a 8 day fusee ( snake with steel wire ) the striking train is working with a normal 8 day mainspring in a barrel. Half and full hour striking with cuckoo and gong, locking-plate striking system. Massif anchor escapement. Front and back plates are skeletonized. The wooden case decorated with carvings looks like a mixture of a Gothic church front and a Black Forest *Bahnhäusle*. Wooden dial with white Roman numerals and white bone hands. Backplate marked with number: 12
