French ormolu mounted Boulle inlaid Cartel clock in a style of late Louis XIV. and begin of Regence period. Volutes, mascaron, 4 caryatides and 8 finials on the roof which is topped by an angel with a trumpet - symbol of victory - are ornating the straight case.

Brass casted dial with inlaid blue coloured Roman hours and blck coloured Arabic minute cartouches and additional centre one cartouche. Ornated brass hands. Two women beneath the dial are carrying it on her hands as well as the name cartoche of the clockmaker: LE MAYRE A PARIS. Measurements of the case - height x width x depth: approx: 92 cm x 39 cm x 16 cm - movement: 14,5 cm x 16,5 cm x 4,2 cm - weight of clock: approx 20 KG.

This clock was made approx. 1730/1740.
