French skeleton clock on black wooden base under oval glass dome which was manufactured honorary the World Exhibtion 1851 at London.

The oval brass base of the movement is marked: Mr.Honorables Paris Londres.

8 day spring wound movement, anchor escapement, alarm function. Enamel dial chapter ring with Roman numerals. Dial and movement’s back plate signed: Pierret à Paris. Look at TARDY Dictionnaire Des Horlogers Francais, Paris 1971, page 521: „Pierret, Victor-Athanase, 1806 -1893“.Pierret was a well-known clockmaker with a good reputation,the listing at Tardy is too long to be reprinted here.
