French Empire style brass pendule of restauration period about 1820. Four feet, columns, pinions and two round plates are caging the pendulum while the movement is housed in a simple round case framed by two brass decorations whose headpiece is a palmette. A slvered brass chapter dial with Roman numerals allows to look at the movement’s front plate. 8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, locking-plate striking system, anchor escapement, Breguet type steel hands. Silk suspension pendulum with fine adjustement from the back of the movement. Measurements of the case - height x width x depth: approx: 40 cm x 13,8 cm x 13,8 cm – weight of clock: 2,2 KG.
