French library table clock, brass case with four facet cut glasses, enamel dial with Arabic numerals. 8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, rack strike system, Brocot escapement with steel pallets, mercury compensation pendulum ( 2 glass tubes filled with mercury ), steel pendulum suspension spring with fine adjustement from the front of the case by turning the square-end above the dial. N Key no. 7. Black steel hands. Movement marked on back plate: JAPY FRERES & CIE. MED D HONNEUR as well as MADE IN FRANCE and serial number: 5029 4 8.
