French bronze clock of the romantique period when Louis Philippe was king of France. Rich ornated fire gilded bronze case with a lady riding a horse. Bronze clocks showing horse/s were not manufactured very often in that period.

8 day spring wound movement of Paris type, half and full hour striking on bell, locking-plate striking system, anchor escapement, silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals, blued Breguet style steel hands. Silk suspension pendulum with fine adjustement from the back of the movement.

Measurements of case:  height x width x depth: approx: 45 cm x 30 cm x 11,5 cm – weight of clock:  5,5 KG.

This clock was made around 1830/40
