French Morbier clock of Napoleon Bonaparte period, 8 day string wound movement with verge escapement, folded pendulum with a plomb bob, half hour striking ‚passing by’ and full hour striking on bell, rack striking system, with repetition. Casted bronze head piece with one big eagle on top and two small eagles on left and right side over empty emblem surrounded by the chain of the union. Convex enamel dial with Roman hour and Arabic minute numerals. Signed: Jques Beal A ALLEGRE. Early type of sun burst hands with engraved surfaces.

Dial diameter: 24,4 cm, length of pendulum: 158 cm.

This clock was made approx. 1800/1810.

The dial was damaged and has been restored,pendulum and weights are repro parts, all other parts of this clock originally fit together.
